When we have guests at home and we want to do something to snack, we always end up doing the same. A pizzas, olives, different types of cheese, among many others ... But what do you think of surprising them with a special hummus? Surely you will not regret having tried it. It's not a simple chickpea puree, in fact no chickpeas . And what is it made of? Tofu.

By changing tofu for chickpeas, you are maintaining the protein level of the recipe and, at the same time, you are significantly reducing the number of calories. And if you add tahini and Mediterranean species, it still takes a much better flavor differential - maintaining the texture -. Although tofu is not your favorite food, you would never guess that it is made from it. You can serve it by making many combinations so that you never get bored this delicious entree .

Tofu

This tofu hummus can be served with chips, pretzels and vegetables, or with bread. Depends on what you accompany, you will have a plate full of protein.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of tofu organic, very dry
  • 1/2 cup of tahini
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 Cda. of ground cumin
  • 1/2 Cda. of dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Cda. Kosher salt
  • Fresh black ground pepper

Elaboration

1. 2. Gradually add the olive oil while mixing the puree with a spoon
3. Serve with a splash of extra virgin olive oil and some dried oregano leaves
